The Art of Survival

Some people have more challenges than others. Multiple medical and psychiatric issues that just don’t go away. They become chronic. From daily medication and blood sugar checks to three times a week dialysis and chemotherapy. Nobody likes it, but we endure with frustration, increasing depression, and even anger. We are at war. With our disease processes and with the medical community that only gives out what the insurance companies will cover. The doctors don’t decide medical necessity and Big Pharma makes sure they get big profit margins. I guess after needing medical and psychiatric help for over 20 years I may sound bitter, but I haven’t given up, and I believe neither should you.
